Dear Journey Church Family and Friends,
Three months ago on August 3, 2008, Journey Church and Charlotte North Fellowship made history by merging together to form one church! It has been an amazing adventure, and we truly believe that we are already better together and the best is yet to come!
Now we are taking another huge step by launching construction on our new home! We have realized for a long time that we need a permanent home to allow us to grow and expand our ministry to have a bigger impact on our community! Bulldozers are now clearing trees and making way for the new building. A few weeks ago we asked you to pray that God would provide a loan, and within one day our prayer was answered! Now we are asking you to join us in praying and giving to help us open the doors and pay the building off. It would be so amazing to walk through the doors of our new home debt-free!
Thanks to the many of you who made commitments two years ago as we began the Imagine Campaign. Now is the opportunity for you to reaffirm or update your commitment for this final year. For those of you who haven’t had opportunity to participate in the Imagine Campaign, this is now your chance to pray and make a 12-month commitment over-and-above your regular giving to build our new home and pay it off! Together we will make an eternal impact in the lives of thousands of people who will one day walk through the doors of our new home.
We are writing you to ask you to pray and ask God to lead you. We are enclosing a brochure with some basic information and a commitment card. There will never be any pressure for you to make a commitment or give, and all commitments will be kept strictly confidential. God is doing some amazing things in the life of our young church, and we get to be pioneers of this Journey.
You are invited to a special worship experience and 24-hour prayer event on the land on Friday, November 14thbeginning at 6pm. We will all have the opportunity to turn in our Imagine commitments on Sunday, November 16th during both Connection services.
Thanks for praying and thanks for being a vital part of this church called Journey!
